Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad

The Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad (PVJR) is a 33 mile short line located in Vancouver, WA. The line is owned by Clark County while PVJR is the operator. The line is run under the name Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad, preserving the history of the line.

The Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad began operating in 2004 with just 60 cars of freight handled on the line. Since that time, the traffic has increased to over 500 cars being shipped in 2008. The PVJR owns a three acre parcel on the line to help locate and grow the business.

There are unlimited opportunities on this line due to its location and proximity to the Port of Vancouver and Port of Portland. Clark County is in the midst of a rezone project that could bring as many as 1,400 acres of new industrial zoned land along the railroad.
